UAE Food Bank Distributes 5,000 Meals In Single-Day Outreach Drive Supporting Food Security And ESG Goals

UAE Food Bank has successfully distributed 5,000 meals to workers across Dubai in a single-day large-scale outreach drive, reinforcing the nation’s commitment to food security, social cohesion, and sustainable community development.

The initiative was carried out in collaboration with Majid Al Futtaim and Majra, highlighting the growing importance of cross-sector partnerships in delivering impactful humanitarian efforts aligned with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles.

The UAE Food Bank continues to play a pivotal role in advancing national food security objectives by promoting responsible consumption and redistributing surplus food to those in need. This latest drive reflects its mission to convert excess resources into sustainable social impact through structured outreach and collaboration.

This year’s expansion from 3,000 to 5,000 beneficiaries underscores the increasing effectiveness of coordinated efforts between government entities, private sector organizations, and civil society. The initiative serves as a model for scalable, community-focused solutions that strengthen the UAE’s approach to sustainable humanitarian action.

Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism and Chairman of Majra, emphasized that the UAE has established a pioneering model in charitable and humanitarian work, built on sustainability, partnership, and maximizing impact. He noted that collaborations such as this demonstrate how integrated efforts can enhance resource efficiency, strengthen social solidarity, and support the country’s long-term development vision.

Echoing this, Manal Obaid bin Yaroof, Head of the Executive Team at the UAE Food Bank, highlighted that the initiative showcases how structured partnerships and responsible resource management can directly contribute to national goals while fostering community cohesion.

Meanwhile, Ahmed Galal Ismail, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Holding, stated that the outreach reflects the power of unified action between public and private sectors, enabling the distribution of essential resources to a larger number of beneficiaries than ever before.

The initiative aligns with the UAE’s broader vision of embedding social responsibility into national development, where collaboration between institutions drives inclusive growth, shared responsibility, and resilient communities.
