NFPA Expands MENA Presence with Appointment of Romnish Kapoor as Regional Sales Manager

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has appointed Romnish Kapoor as Regional Sales Manager for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), reinforcing the organization's regional presence and supporting its efforts to advance fire, electrical and life safety across the region.

Based in Dubai, Kapoor will lead NFPA's business development initiatives across MENA, strengthen customer relationships, and support organizations in adopting the association's internationally recognized safety standards, training programmes, certifications and related solutions to improve fire and life safety.

The appointment reflects NFPA's continued investment in the region, where demand for fire protection expertise is increasing amid rapid infrastructure development and urban expansion.

Mike Brunzell, Vice President of Global Business Development at NFPA, welcomed Kapoor to the regional team, highlighting the strategic importance of the Middle East and North Africa to the organization.

"The Middle East and North Africa remain a strategic priority for NFPA, and we are pleased to welcome Romnish to our regional team. His extensive experience working with customers, regulators, and industry leaders across the region will help us continue delivering the knowledge, resources, and solutions that support safer communities and resilient built environments," Brunzell said.

Kapoor brings more than 20 years of experience in fire and life safety, testing, inspection and certification, regulatory compliance, strategic account management, and business development.

Before joining NFPA, he held several commercial leadership positions at UL Solutions, where he led regional sales and strategic account growth initiatives across the Middle East and Africa (MEA). During his career, he has worked closely with manufacturers, contractors, government authorities, developers, consultants, regulatory agencies and other industry stakeholders to support safety, compliance and market development initiatives across emerging markets.

Commenting on his appointment, Kapoor said he looks forward to supporting customers across the region as governments and businesses continue to place greater emphasis on fire and life safety.

"I'm excited to join NFPA at a time of tremendous opportunity across the MENA region. Governments, regulators, and businesses continue to place greater emphasis on fire and life safety, and I look forward to working with our existing and new customers to help them advance their efforts with the world-class resources and solutions that NFPA has to offer," he said.

NFPA said the appointment forms part of its broader strategy to expand engagement across the MENA region by providing organizations with the knowledge, standards and resources needed to build safer communities and more resilient infrastructure.
