The visit formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen knowledge exchange, capability building, and institutional benchmarking between government entities, supporting the continuous improvement of public sector performance across the UAE.

During the visit, the delegation reviewed the FTA's operational framework through a comprehensive benchmarking exercise covering eight key institutional areas. These included corporate excellence standards, strategic planning, project management, innovation, workplace readiness, customer satisfaction measurement, operational process management, and the Corporate Performance Management System.

His Excellency Abdulaziz Al Mulla, Director General of the Federal Tax Authority, reaffirmed the Authority's commitment to enhancing collaboration and sharing expertise with government and private sector entities involved in the UAE's tax ecosystem.

He said strengthening cooperation and adopting best practices contributes to improving institutional efficiency and effectiveness while supporting the sustainable development of government operations.

Al Mulla also emphasised the importance of leveraging internationally recognised operational methodologies, performance measurement systems, and benchmarking practices to reinforce the UAE's competitiveness and leadership in tax administration and government excellence.

During the joint meeting, FTA specialists presented the Authority's methodology for managing and implementing operational processes, including its process classification framework and governance mechanisms.

The delegation also reviewed the FTA's participation in the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award, alongside various international standards and external excellence awards that support continuous institutional development.

Additional presentations focused on the Authority's happiness and quality of life initiatives, the impact of its corporate culture programme, implementation of the Government Performance System 3.0, and its Human Capital Management Strategy, along with key achievements in these areas.

The delegation also reviewed the FTA's project management framework, innovation initiatives, and the Innovation Strategy 2024–2026, including the Innovation Charter, the "Shorkum" electronic suggestion platform, and the standards that enabled the Authority to obtain the Innovative Government Entity Certification.
