Salesforce launches Agentforce for public sector to transform government services with AI

Salesforce has announced the launch of Agentforce for Public Sector, a new AI-powered platform designed to help government agencies improve efficiency, responsiveness, and constituent services.

The solution introduces a “digital workforce” of intelligent AI agents capable of autonomously handling complex, time-consuming tasks such as compliance management, recruitment, license renewals, and constituent support. By doing so, it allows government employees to focus on mission-critical work while enabling faster, cost-effective, and more reliable public services.

According to Salesforce, 64% of government leaders worldwide expect significant cost savings from AI adoption, while 90% of citizens are open to AI-enabled public services. Agentforce addresses concerns around data privacy and security with trusted, certified, and compliant solutions, ensuring responsible AI use across government operations.

Features of Agentforce for the Public Sector

  • Compliance management: Supports officers by identifying potential code violations, calculating regulatory fees, and generating documentation.

  • Complaint management: Analyzes citizen complaints, identifies recurring issues, and recommends policy-aligned solutions.

  • Recruitment management: Uses AI to match resumes with job requirements, engage candidates, and streamline hiring.

  • Job recommendations: Suggests suitable roles to applicants based on their skills and goals.

  • Benefits assistance: Provides multilingual AI-powered conversations to guide citizens through eligibility and application processes.

  • Constituent support: Helps the public file complaints and access accurate policy information quickly.

Agentforce is built on Salesforce’s Public Sector Solutions and leverages its Atlas Reasoning Engine and Data Cloud to process information from multiple sources. It also integrates with existing Salesforce tools such as Agent Builder and connects securely via AWS infrastructure, ensuring compliance with international standards like FedRAMP High, Protected-B, and IRAP.

To accelerate deployment, Salesforce is working with partners including IBM Consulting and AWS Marketplace, providing government customers with secure, scalable AI solutions.
