Adams Street opens Abu Dhabi office with Leila Kaissi to lead GCC operations
Adams Street Partners, LLC, a global private markets investment management firm with more than $62 billion in assets under management, has announced the opening of its first office in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), located in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).
The expansion reflects Adams Street’s commitment to strengthening long-standing partnerships in the region and serving a growing base of institutional investors and strategic partners.
The new office will be led by Leila Kaissi, who joins as Principal, Investor Relations. In her role, Kaissi will focus on developing institutional client and consultant relationships across the GCC, while supporting clients in managing portfolios and building private equity programs.
Jeffrey Diehl, Managing Partner & Head of Investments at Adams Street, described the Abu Dhabi office as “a natural progression of our global expansion” and emphasized its importance in enhancing strategic ties in the region.
Expressing her vision, Kaissi said:
“GCC investors are eager to access global venture capital, growth equity, buyout, and private credit markets. Adams Street’s long track record in these areas positions us well to meet this strong demand.”
John Kremer, Partner & Head of Investor Relations (EMEA), added that the GCC is “strategically important” for the firm’s global ambitions and that the local presence would allow Adams Street to better serve clients and strengthen relationships.
Welcoming the move, Arvind Ramamurthy, Chief Market Development Officer at ADGM, noted:
“The decision by leading international firms like Adams Street to establish offices in Abu Dhabi highlights the city’s position as a global hub for asset management. We are pleased to welcome them into ADGM’s expanding ecosystem.”
Prior to joining Adams Street, Kaissi served as Vice President at Gulf Capital, where she managed institutional investor relations, co-investment opportunities, and investor due diligence across pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, corporates, and family offices.
