Ministry of Culture Honours Winners of Zero Bureaucracy Award Across Various Sectors

The Ministry of Culture celebrated the winners of the Zero Bureaucracy Award during a ceremony held at the Ajman Creative Centre. The event was attended by prominent figures including H.E. Mubarak Al Nakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, and H.E. Mohammed Bin Taliah, Chief of Government Services of the UAE, alongside directors of various sectors and departments.

The Zero Bureaucracy Award was established to motivate government organisations to propose and implement innovative ideas aimed at streamlining procedures. This initiative plays a key role in improving government efficiency and supporting the nation's sustainable development goals by encouraging employee participation in enhancing government performance.

In his remarks, H.E. Mubarak Al Nakhi highlighted the Ministry of Culture’s commitment to launching new initiatives under the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme. The programme aims to engage employees and customers in improving the quality and accessibility of government services. Al Nakhi underscored that this effort aligns with the UAE’s strategic vision of delivering faster and more effective services to the community, contributing to the "We the UAE 2031" and "UAE Centennial 2071" goals.

H.E. Mohammed Bin Taliah echoed these sentiments, stressing the importance of collaborative efforts among federal ministries and agencies to achieve the objectives of the Zero Bureaucracy Programme. He noted that reducing unnecessary procedures improves government flexibility and enhances the overall customer experience by fostering open communication and incorporating feedback.

Launched in November 2023, the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme is tasked with simplifying government operations by eliminating at least 2,000 procedures and cutting the duration of processes by 50% within one year. The initiative marks a new phase in the UAE’s commitment to government efficiency, quality, and flexibility.
