MBRF Appoints Chief Knowledge and AI Advisor to Lead Integrated Management System Development

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) has appointed Ron Young, founder of Knowledge Associates International, Cambridge, UK, as its Chief Knowledge and Artificial Intelligence Advisor. This appointment is part of MBRF’s strategic initiative to develop an integrated management system based on ISO 30401 (Knowledge Management) and ISO 42001 (Artificial Intelligence) standards.

Established by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in 2007, the MBRF has pioneered programs that position Dubai and the UAE as global hubs for knowledge. The Foundation aims to empower future generations by fostering sustainable solutions that drive knowledge and research development across the Arab world and beyond.

The newly appointed Knowledge and AI Advisor will play a pivotal role in integrating multiple ISO standards and the foundation's extensive experiences into a unified system that aligns with the newly launched ISO 42001 Artificial Intelligence standard. This advancement will allow MBRF to assist knowledge-based organizations, from government agencies to SMEs, in adapting to the evolving knowledge landscape.

His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, stated, "The MBRF is contributing to the UAE's National Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031 by offering the best methodologies for knowledge creation, transfer, and application. With Ron Young's expertise, we aim to enhance the integration of knowledge and AI-driven systems to support organizations in identifying and developing both human and digital knowledge assets."

Ron Young, expressing his enthusiasm, said, "It is an honor to collaborate with the MBRF in advancing knowledge transformation through AI and knowledge management."

Further insights on this initiative will be shared at the Knowledge Summit, scheduled for 19-20 November 2024 in Dubai, UAE.
