H.E. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy, held key bilateral meetings with H.E. Lieutenant General Eng. Kamel El Wazir, Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, and H.E. Dr. Rania Al Mashat, Egypt's Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation. The discussions centered on strengthening economic cooperation between the two nations, with a focus on sectors such as the new economy, transportation, entrepreneurship, infrastructure, circular economy, agriculture, and industry.

The meetings took place on the sidelines of the 114th session of the Arab Economic and Social Council in Cairo, chaired by the UAE. H.E. Bin Touq emphasized the strategic relations between the UAE and Egypt, noting their shared potential and commitment to future projects that align with the countries' long-term development visions.

A key highlight was the recently signed Ras Al Hikma development project agreement, the largest foreign direct investment in Egypt's history, which marks a significant milestone in fostering bilateral economic ties. Discussions also explored collaboration on infrastructure, logistics, and the transition to green economies.

Additionally, the ministers discussed potential financing options for joint projects, sharing expertise on international collaboration, and development funding to create new growth opportunities. The UAE remains Egypt’s top Arab investor and third largest globally.

H.E. Bin Touq underscored the UAE's commitment to the 'We the UAE 2031' vision, positioning the nation as a global hub for the new economy, supported by strong legislative frameworks, innovation-driven policies, and foreign investment initiatives. Both Egyptian ministers were invited to attend the upcoming Investopia 2025 event in the UAE, which will offer a platform for exploring new investment opportunities.
