Federal Tax Authority Honours Winners of Al Ruwad Excellence Award
The Federal Tax Authority honoured the winners of the Al Ruwad Excellence Award in recognition of their exceptional contributions to innovation, institutional development, and operational excellence within the Authority.
The annual internal award forms part of the FTA’s ongoing commitment to promoting a culture of institutional excellence, encouraging positive competition among employees, and enhancing both individual and organisational performance.
The Al Ruwad Excellence Award aims to strengthen the concepts of quality and excellence across the Authority’s institutional ecosystem while encouraging employees and departments to introduce innovative initiatives and ideas that improve the workplace environment and elevate service quality for customers.
This year, the Authority introduced a new category dedicated to innovation in Artificial Intelligence (AI), aligning with the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to position the UAE Government among the world’s leading adopters of assisted AI technologies across government services and operations.
H.E. Abdulaziz Al Mulla, Director General of the FTA, said the recognition reflects the Authority’s commitment to appreciating employees’ achievements and fostering the exchange of expertise between teams.
He noted that the award serves as a platform to highlight success stories and distinguished practices that support the Authority’s strategic direction toward leadership and institutional excellence while enhancing efficiency and service quality.
Al Mulla added that the launch of the AI category reflects the Authority’s dedication to implementing the UAE leadership’s vision of expanding the use of assisted AI technologies to accelerate processes, improve decision-making quality, and create greater opportunities for creativity and innovation that contribute to the national economy and the country’s development goals.
He further reaffirmed the FTA’s commitment to creating a supportive work environment by empowering employees, enhancing professional development opportunities, and launching initiatives that strengthen productivity, creativity, and innovation.
Jasim Al Zarooni, Director of the Strategy and Future Department at the FTA, said the award has become an important initiative for embedding a culture of institutional excellence and encouraging employees to continuously improve and innovate.
He added that since its launch in 2022, the award has witnessed growing participation, reflecting its significance in recognising employee achievements and promoting continuous development across the Authority.
The Al Ruwad Excellence Award has now completed its third edition, attracting 60 participants and honouring 19 winners across multiple categories since its inception. The Authority said these figures demonstrate employees’ strong commitment to professional growth, innovation, and enhancing institutional excellence standards.
