Dubai Government Human Resources Department Unveils Revamped Youth Council

The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has officially launched a newly restructured Youth Council, marking a significant step toward empowering youth leadership and innovation within the emirate’s human resources sector. The announcement was made during an interactive session themed "Youthful Insights," which featured the participation of His Excellency Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al-Falasi, Director General of DGHR.

The new Youth Council is designed to operate with an entrepreneurial startup approach, focusing on research, development, and the integration of youthful creativity into the department’s core principles. This strategic initiative aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, who has consistently emphasized the vital role of youth in shaping the future of the UAE.

H.E. Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al-Falasi highlighted the transformative potential of the youth, stating, "The youth possess great energy and innovative concepts that can pave the way for revolutionary changes in various fields. Through this restructured council, we aim to empower young people to become the future leaders and key drivers in achieving Dubai’s ambitious vision. Our commitment is to harness their potential and foster collaboration to support the emirate's future goals."

Omar Al Ansari, Chairman of the Youth Council, added, "The reconfiguration of the Youth Council is a strategic investment in our future. By creating an environment that encourages creativity and excellence, we aim to empower the youth to reach their full potential and contribute meaningfully to Dubai’s growth and development."

The Youth Council’s initiatives will focus on integrating young talent into strategic human resources planning across various sectors. The council will operate through four core pathways: Partnerships, Capacity Development, Artificial Intelligence, and Quality of Life. These pathways aim to enhance communication, empower youth, and leverage technological advancements to drive innovation, with a strong emphasis on mental and physical wellness and financial literacy.

Under the guidance of the DGHR’s leadership, the council’s administrative team will oversee the innovation and implementation of this new system. The overarching goal is to cultivate technical and leadership skills among the youth, in alignment with the UAE Centenary Plan 2071, which seeks to empower Emirati youth to lead the nation into the future.
