Dubai Culture Launches Sixth Edition of ‘Ramadan Heroes’ to Promote Philanthropy

The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has launched the sixth edition of its annual humanitarian initiative, Ramadan Heroes, in partnership with talabat UAE and the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC). The campaign promotes solidarity and generosity across society, encouraging residents to take part in charitable giving during the holy month of Ramadan.

Held under the theme ‘Celebrating the Spirit of Giving’, the initiative aligns with Dubai Culture’s commitment to social responsibility and is part of the ‘Ramadan in Dubai’ campaign, spearheaded by the Dubai Media Council in collaboration with various government and private entities. The initiative aims to support underprivileged individuals and families by facilitating donations of iftar and suhoor meals, food parcels, Eid clothing, and Zakat Al Fitr through a virtual charity platform on talabat UAE. Contributions will be securely delivered to beneficiaries in coordination with Emirates Red Crescent teams.

Strengthening Social Cohesion and Humanitarian Impact

Shaima Rashed Al Suwaidi, Director of Corporate Communication and Marketing at Dubai Culture, emphasized that Ramadan Heroes reflects Dubai’s deep-rooted values of compassion and community support.

“This initiative serves as an inspiring model for strengthening social cohesion and reaffirms Dubai Culture’s commitment to supporting those in need during the holy month. Over the years, Ramadan Heroes has encouraged acts of kindness, creating a lasting impact on philanthropy in the UAE,” Al Suwaidi said.

She also highlighted the key role of talabat UAE and Emirates Red Crescent in supporting the campaign, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global humanitarian hub.

Reef AlKhaja, Marketing Director at Emirates Red Crescent, noted that the initiative continues to grow in inclusivity and impact, thanks to strong partnerships and community engagement.

“The initiative reflects the shared commitment of Emirates Red Crescent, Dubai Culture, and talabat UAE to strengthening social responsibility and fostering meaningful collaborations. It serves as a model for mobilizing community support and expanding humanitarian outreach during Ramadan,” she added.

Simonida Subotic, Vice President and Managing Director at talabat UAE, reaffirmed the platform’s dedication to facilitating charitable giving.

“As we mark the sixth edition of Ramadan Heroes, we remain committed to giving back to the UAE community. This initiative has become a meaningful tradition, reinforcing our strong partnership with Dubai Culture and Emirates Red Crescent,” Subotic stated.

She further emphasized how talabat UAE’s technology enables seamless and secure donations, ensuring that support reaches those in need efficiently.

“Ramadan is a time of reflection and unity, and we are honored to play a role in bringing people together for a greater cause,” she concluded.
