The Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) has signed a cooperation agreement with Kalimat Group, a leading children’s publishing institution, to publish and distribute an illustrated book titled Baba Hameed.
This partnership aligns with both organizations' shared mission to promote culture and knowledge among children and adolescents by providing engaging literary resources. The initiative aims to nurture a passion for reading, stimulate curiosity, and instill meaningful values, fostering personal development and equipping young readers with confidence and resilience for the future.
His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of ADTD, emphasized the importance of the collaboration, stating: “We are excited to partner with Kalimat Group, a leading institution that aligns with our belief that supporting the development of young children is an investment for a prosperous future. Reading plays a vital role in enhancing critical and creative thinking skills, broadening cultural awareness, and opening new avenues of knowledge. Through this partnership, we aim to contribute to Arabic literary production for children, reinforcing their cultural identity and empowering them with positive values.”
H.E. Alhashmi added that the initiative supports Ajman’s vision of becoming a cultural hub, enhancing its position as a center for knowledge and learning. “We hope that Baba Hameed will provide children with a unique and engaging experience, sparking their imagination and encouraging them to learn through storytelling,” he said.
Ahmed Abdul Salam Al Ali, General Manager of Kalimat Group, reaffirmed the group’s commitment to advancing literacy and cultural awareness. “This agreement embodies Kalimat Group’s dedication to fostering culture and spreading knowledge. It strengthens our commitment to providing children and adolescents with opportunities to explore literature and enrich their learning experiences. We continuously seek collaborations with local and international organizations to expand access to quality books and reading materials for children, especially those with limited resources,” he stated.
This collaboration is part of ADTD’s ongoing efforts to promote literacy and intellectual engagement among younger generations. It underscores the significance of cooperation between cultural and tourism institutions in fostering sustainable societal development and encouraging future generations to embrace learning.
