Dubai's Palm Monorail Resumes Services After Six-Month Maintenance Closure
Dubai's Palm Monorail has resumed operations after a six-month suspension for maintenance, restoring public transport services across Palm Jumeirah for residents and visitors.
The operator announced the reopening on its official social media channels, inviting passengers to once again travel across Palm Jumeirah. Tickets are now available through the Palm Monorail's official website and authorised booking channels.
Services were suspended in January 2026 to facilitate station maintenance works aimed at upgrading the transport system. During the closure, commuters were advised to use the Roads and Transport Authority's (RTA) Hala Taxi service as an alternative mode of transport around Palm Jumeirah.
Spanning 5.5 kilometres, the Palm Monorail remains the only public transportation system serving Palm Jumeirah. The line connects four stations—Palm Gateway, Al Ittihad Park, Nakheel Mall, and Atlantis Aquaventure—providing convenient access to the island's key attractions while offering panoramic views of the iconic man-made destination.
Ticket prices start from Dh5 for a one-way journey, while return fares begin at Dh10, making the monorail an affordable transport option for both daily commuters and tourists exploring Palm Jumeirah.
