Saudi Launches Package Visa to Simplify Travel Bookings and Tourist Visa Applications
Saudi Arabia has introduced Package Visa, a new fully digital initiative that integrates tourist visa applications directly with travel bookings, making it easier for international visitors to plan and book their trips through a single platform.
The initiative is being rolled out through qualified travel and tourism service providers across selected international markets ahead of a wider global launch. By combining visa processing, flight bookings, accommodation, and optional tourism experiences into one streamlined process, the programme aims to provide a faster and more convenient travel experience.
The Package Visa builds on Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to make travel to the Kingdom more accessible. Since introducing the tourist e-Visa, the country has expanded its visitor entry options through services such as the Visa on Arrival and the Stopover Transit Visa. These initiatives have contributed to the Kingdom welcoming more than 29 million inbound visitors in 2025, reflecting the rapid growth of its tourism sector.
Commenting on the launch, His Excellency Ahmed Al Khateeb, Saudi Minister of Tourism, said the new initiative demonstrates the Kingdom's commitment to simplifying travel while enhancing the overall visitor experience.
He noted that integrating visa issuance with travel bookings reduces the complexity of trip planning, creates a more connected visitor journey, and strengthens collaboration across the tourism ecosystem, further supporting Saudi Arabia's position as an increasingly accessible global destination.
Under the new system, eligible travellers can complete their visa application, airfare, hotel reservations, and even add events, activities, and tourism experiences through a single booking process instead of arranging each element separately.
The initiative also offers benefits for travel and tourism service providers, enabling them to create more comprehensive travel packages, simplify customer journeys, encourage longer stays, and deliver richer tourism experiences.
To maintain high service standards, the Package Visa will only be available through approved travel providers that meet operational requirements, including providing 24/7 customer support and maintaining reliable digital platforms.
The launch forms part of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to strengthen the Kingdom's tourism sector, attract more international visitors, and position Saudi Arabia as a leading global travel destination through innovative, experience-driven tourism initiatives.
