In a move underscoring its commitment to sustainable transport and advanced mobility solutions, Dubai Police has introduced the VOYAH FREE EREV into its patrol fleet, in collaboration with Performance Plus Motors.

The new addition was officially unveiled at the department’s headquarters by Rashid Khalifa Al Falasi, Director of the General Department of Transport and Rescue, in the presence of senior officers and representatives from both organizations.

Advanced Electric Mobility for Policing

The VOYAH FREE operates using Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) technology, combining dual electric motors with a high-efficiency petrol generator that recharges the battery as needed. This system allows the vehicle to function primarily on electric power while eliminating range limitations—an essential feature for continuous patrol operations.

During the launch, officials highlighted the vehicle’s ability to reduce emissions while maintaining the performance and reliability required for daily policing duties. The initiative aligns with the United Arab Emirates’s broader sustainability goals and its transition toward cleaner transportation systems.

High Performance Meets Sustainability

Designed as a luxury electric SUV, the VOYAH FREE offers a combined driving range of up to 1,357 km (CLTC standard), making it suitable for long-distance operations across Dubai.

The vehicle is equipped with:

• Dual motor all-wheel drive producing 360 kW (483 hp) and 720 Nm of torque
• Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds
• Adjustable air suspension with up to 100 mm lift
• A fully integrated triple-screen cabin for enhanced driver experience
• Luggage capacity ranging from 560 to 1,320 litres

These features combine performance, comfort, and practicality, supporting both operational efficiency and modern policing requirements.

Strengthening Strategic Partnerships

Officials emphasized that the collaboration with Performance Plus Motors reflects a shared vision for smart and sustainable mobility. The integration of electric vehicles into the patrol fleet is part of Dubai Police’s broader strategy to adopt environmentally friendly solutions while enhancing operational capabilities.

Mohamed Elzawawy, General Manager of Performance Plus Motors, stated that the partnership extends beyond vehicle delivery, focusing on long-term cooperation to support the UAE’s clean mobility transition. He noted that EREV technology offers an ideal balance between electric efficiency and extended range, making it well-suited for fleet applications.

The initiative highlights Dubai Police’s ongoing efforts to align with national sustainability objectives and smart city ambitions. By incorporating advanced electric vehicles into its fleet, the force continues to modernize its operations while reducing carbon emissions.

The launch concluded with a commemorative ceremony, where Dubai Police officials honoured their partners and marked the addition of the new patrol vehicles to the fleet.
