Saur Showcases Sustainable Water Management Solutions at Project Qatar 2026
Saur, a global pure-play water services company, has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Qatar’s sustainability and infrastructure development goals by showcasing its expertise in resilient water management and wastewater solutions at Project Qatar 2026.
During the exhibition, the company highlighted a range of innovative technologies and operational solutions designed to improve water resource management, enhance infrastructure performance, and strengthen long-term sustainability across the Gulf region.
Saur presented its capabilities across the entire water cycle, including smart water management systems, infrastructure operations and maintenance, wastewater treatment, water reuse technologies, and digital solutions that help optimise operational efficiency and resource sustainability.
The company also underscored its growing presence in Qatar, where it works closely with public-sector entities on critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects aimed at developing resilient and future-ready utility networks.
Saur’s participation at Project Qatar 2026 reflects its ongoing collaboration with Qatar’s Public Works Authority, Ashghal. Earlier this year, the company began the operational phase of wastewater services under Ashghal’s partnership framework, supporting wastewater treatment facilities and network operations throughout the Qatar South catchment zone.
Drawing on its international expertise and established operational experience in the country, Saur provides wastewater management services that contribute to environmental sustainability while supporting the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
At the event, the company demonstrated how digital technologies, predictive maintenance systems, and advanced operational practices can improve infrastructure reliability, ensure service continuity, and maximise resource efficiency.
A key focus of Saur’s presentation was the importance of circular water management practices, including wastewater reuse, which the company believes will play a vital role in strengthening long-term water security and reducing reliance on freshwater resources.
Commenting on the company's participation, Christophe Tanguy, CEO of Saur Middle East, said Qatar continues to make significant investments in world-class infrastructure while advancing ambitious sustainability objectives.
“Through our partnership with Ashghal, we support the operation and optimisation of critical wastewater infrastructure that serves communities, safeguards the environment, and enables more efficient resource management,” he said.
Tanguy added that Project Qatar 2026 provided an important platform to demonstrate how operational excellence, digital innovation, and sustainable water management practices can contribute to the country's long-term development plans and infrastructure resilience.
As Qatar continues to experience rapid urban growth and increasing demand for essential services, experts highlight the growing importance of resilient wastewater infrastructure in supporting environmental sustainability, resource conservation, and quality of life.
Leveraging its global expertise and local operational capabilities, Saur said it remains committed to working alongside government stakeholders to improve infrastructure performance, advance sustainability initiatives, and deliver future-ready water solutions across Qatar and the wider Gulf region.
