UAE's Parliamentary Work Drives National Advancement and Global Leadership: H.E. Abdulrahman Al Owais
His Excellency Abdulrahman Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention and Minister of State for Federal National Council (FNC) Affairs, emphasized that the UAE’s parliamentary experience is a cornerstone of the nation's progress and success on regional and international fronts. He made this statement in recognition of the International Day of Parliamentarism, celebrated annually on June 30.
H.E. Al Owais highlighted that the UAE’s parliamentary work is instrumental in advancing society and fulfilling the leadership's vision of securing leading global positions. He acknowledged the foundational role of Shura (consultation) principles, established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Founding Father, and guided by the current leadership, including His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and the Vice Presidents H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
"The UAE continues to invest in its parliamentary system to empower it to play a pivotal role in the lives of Emirati citizens and achieve significant milestones that position the UAE ahead of other nations," said H.E. Al Owais. He underscored the importance of collaboration between the government and the FNC in realizing the leadership's vision for the UAE's future.
Minister Al Owais noted that this vision calls for enhanced integration of roles and coordination processes between the government and the FNC. This approach aims to elevate UAE citizens to top global positions across various fields, in line with the UAE Centennial 2071 Plan, which aspires to place the UAE at the forefront of global excellence.
"The Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs is dedicated to strengthening the coordination between the government and the FNC," H.E. Al Owais explained. "We are focused on implementing effective mechanisms to align parliamentary efforts with national interests and launching innovative initiatives to enhance performance."
H.E. Al Owais reaffirmed the Ministry's commitment to leveraging all available resources and tools to drive continuous improvement and efficiency, aspiring to set a global example and become a role model for other nations.
