The Ministry of Interior UAE has intensified security and traffic measures nationwide to ensure a safe and smooth Eid Al Fitr 2026 celebration.

The announcement comes as the UAE officially began Eid festivities on Friday, March 20, following confirmation that the Shawwal crescent moon was not sighted the previous evening.

Enhanced Security Across Key Locations

Authorities confirmed that security presence has been significantly increased in high-traffic and high-density areas, including:

1. Mosques and Eid prayer grounds

2. Shopping malls and markets

3. Public gathering spaces

The initiative aims to maintain public safety while preserving the festive atmosphere, allowing residents and visitors to celebrate in a secure environment.

Traffic Management and Emergency Preparedness

In addition to security measures, dedicated teams have been deployed to manage traffic flow and reduce congestion, especially around major prayer venues and shopping destinations.

Police units and traffic patrols are working in coordination to ensure smooth mobility across cities, while emergency response teams remain on continuous standby to handle any incidents swiftly.
