Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The Roads and Transport Authority has announced extended operating hours for both the Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram during Eid Al Fitr 2026, ensuring smoother travel for residents and visitors.

Extended Timings

The revised schedule will be in effect from March 18 to March 22:

1. Dubai Metro: 5:00am to 1:00am (next day)

2. Dubai Tram: 6:00am to 1:00am

These extended hours aim to accommodate the increased movement across the city during the festive period, especially for those attending prayers, visiting family, or heading to malls and attractions.

Regular vs Eid Schedule

Under normal operations:

1. Metro runs 5:00am to midnight (Monday–Thursday & Saturday)

2. Extends to 1:00am on Fridays

3. Starts later on Sundays (8:00am to midnight)

The Eid schedule standardizes longer operating hours daily, offering greater flexibility for commuters.

Free Parking and Holiday Services

The RTA also confirmed that public parking across Dubai will be free from the first to the third day of Eid, excluding multi-storey parking facilities.

Additionally, the authority has outlined adjusted service hours across its customer service centers and related services during the holiday period.

Enhancing Mobility During Eid

The extended transport timings are part of a broader effort to improve mobility, reduce congestion, and enhance convenience during one of the busiest times of the year in Dubai.

Residents are encouraged to use public transport to avoid traffic congestion and enjoy a smoother travel experience throughout the Eid holidays.
