The Dubai Gold and Jewelry Designers Group has unveiled two major initiatives this November to celebrate Dubai’s rich heritage of jewelry craftsmanship and innovation. These initiatives include the 2024 Global Jewelry Design Award, held for the first time as an international event, and the Dubai Jewel Narratives Members Exhibition, showcasing exceptional works from its members.

The group partnered with renowned Emirati jewelry designer Azza Al Qubaisi, founder of the Ibda’a Award. This collaboration marked a milestone in the competition's history, opening the platform to jewelry designers from around the globe. The grand awards ceremony took place at the JGTD Jewelry, Gemstones, and Technology Exhibition at Dubai Expo City on November 14.

Global Jewelry Design Award Winners

Winners were announced across four categories, celebrating innovative designs and cultural storytelling:

  • 2nd Place: Nouzha Marhej
  • 3rd Place: Mohya Afkhami

• "Echoes of Nature":

  • 1st Place: Somaya Al-Juaid
  • 2nd Place: Ali Al-Ridha Makram
  • 3rd Place: Fatima Al-Ajmi

• "Heritage and Legacy":

  • 1st Place: Maha Salama
  • 2nd Place: Ronaldo Buensalida
  • 3rd Place: Rawda Al-Tuwaiti

• "Cup of the Year":

  • 1st Place: Bdoor Al-Bdoor
  • 2nd Place: Nouzha Marhej
  • 3rd Place: Shabnam Yahjawani

These award-winning designs captured unique craftsmanship and creativity, transforming the event into a prestigious celebration of jewelry innovation.

The Dubai Jewel Narratives Members Exhibition

The Dubai Jewel Narratives initiative provided members with a premier platform to display their collections at key exhibitions and trade shows. Participating designers included:

Maha Al-Sabahi, Chairperson of the Dubai Gold and Jewelry Designers Group, emphasized the importance of these initiatives:
