du Pay, the digital financial services arm of du, has partnered with GCash, the Philippines' leading mobile wallet operated by Globe Telecom, to introduce instant wallet-to-wallet remittance services for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the UAE.

The collaboration builds on a previously signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two fintech companies and aims to provide a faster, more convenient, and cost-effective way for Filipinos in the UAE to send money directly from the du Pay app to GCash wallets in the Philippines.

As part of a promotional campaign, customers using du Pay to transfer funds to GCash wallets will also be eligible for exclusive rewards, including weekly cash prizes, encouraging greater adoption of digital remittance services within the Filipino community.

The new service allows users to register using their Emirates ID and UAE mobile number before making 24/7 instant transfers to any GCash wallet. Transactions are processed through a secure and fully regulated platform, offering competitive foreign exchange rates and low transfer fees to maximise the value received by beneficiaries.

Recipients in the Philippines gain immediate access to the transferred funds through the GCash ecosystem, enabling them to pay bills, make purchases, save money, access credit and insurance services, and perform other financial transactions without delay.

Roberto Mancone, Chief Executive Officer of du Pay, said the partnership reflects the company's commitment to supporting the UAE's Filipino community by making cross-border payments faster, more affordable, and easier to access.

He noted that every remittance represents a commitment by Overseas Filipino Workers to support their families, adding that the collaboration with GCash strengthens du Pay's mission of delivering seamless digital financial services.

Arjun Varma, General Manager of GCash International, said the partnership ensures Filipinos working in the UAE can send money home with confidence, knowing it will arrive instantly and be immediately available across GCash's wide range of financial services.

He added that mobile wallet-to-wallet remittances represent the future of cross-border payments and that the collaboration makes this technology more accessible to Filipinos living and working overseas.

Both companies said they plan to continue expanding their partnership by introducing additional services designed to improve digital financial access for Filipinos in the UAE and their families in the Philippines.
