DC Aviation Al-Futtaim Secures San Marino CAR-145 Approval, Expands Aircraft Maintenance Services

DC Aviation Al-Futtaim (DCAF) has secured a standalone CAR-145 maintenance approval from the San Marino Civil Aviation Authority (SMCAA), enabling the UAE-based business aviation operator to provide Line and Base maintenance services for San Marino (T7)-registered private and commercial aircraft from its facility at Al Maktoum International Airport.

The certification marks a significant expansion of DCAF's maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities and strengthens its position as a regional maintenance provider for business aviation operators.

Approval Completed in Under Three Months

According to the company, the certification process was completed in less than three months, reflecting close collaboration between DCAF and the SMCAA.

The approval covers both DCAF-managed aircraft and third-party operators, allowing the company to broaden its customer base while offering independent maintenance support from its Dubai hub.

Boost to Regional MRO Capabilities

Commenting on the milestone, Holger Ostheimer, Managing Director of DC Aviation Al-Futtaim, said the certification represents an important step in the company's regional expansion strategy.

He noted that the approval enhances DCAF's ability to provide fully independent Line and Base maintenance services for business aviation operators in the region, while highlighting the company's commitment to delivering greater operational flexibility and high service standards.

Wide Range of Aircraft Covered

Under the new approval, DCAF is authorised to provide base maintenance for several large-cabin and ultra-long-range business aircraft, including:

  • Bombardier Global Express Series
  • Bombardier Global 7500 and Global 8000
  • Bombardier Challenger 604, 605 and 650
  • Gulfstream G650
  • Embraer Legacy 600 and 650
  • Airbus A320 family

The approval also includes line maintenance for:

  • Boeing Business Jet (737 BBJ 600–900ER)
  • Dassault Falcon 900EX
  • Dassault Falcon 900EX EASy
  • Dassault Falcon 7X
  • Dassault Falcon 8X

Enhanced Aircraft on Ground Support

The expanded certification also strengthens DCAF's Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support capabilities, enabling the company to respond more efficiently to maintenance requirements for T7-registered aircraft across the region.

Maintenance services are delivered from DCAF's fully equipped Dubai facilities and are supported by in-house wheel and battery maintenance, along with aircraft cabin and exterior cleaning services.

Plans for Further Expansion

DCAF said it intends to further broaden its maintenance approvals by adding support for additional aircraft types and expanding its technical capabilities to meet growing demand in the regional business aviation market.
