Sheikhs Ahmed and Saqr bin Saud Al Qasimi Attend Chinese Theater Show in Ras Al Khaimah, Celebrating Cultural and Economic Ties with China
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of RAK Public Services Department, and Sheikh Saqr bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of RAK Ceramics, attended a traditional Chinese theater performance yesterday. The event, held on September 8 at the Ras Al Khaimah Cultural Development Center, celebrated the growing cultural, tourism, and economic ties between Ras Al Khaimah and China.
The performance, attended by His Excellency Zhang Yiming, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the UAE, featured 15 traditional Chinese acts, including ethnic music, dance, acrobatics, and plate spinning. Performed in authentic costumes, the show was titled "A MoonMoment to Remember in Ras Al Khaimah" and attracted over 900 attendees. The event was coordinated by Safarak Travel + Tourism and included an exhibition showcasing traditional Chinese handicrafts and a cultural and tourism briefing.
Dignitaries from the Chinese Consulate General in Dubai, along with Ras Al Khaimah government officials, were also present. Chinese media outlets such as China Global Television Network (CGTN), People's Daily, and China Daily covered the event.
The performance followed the Chinese Ambassador's two-day visit to Ras Al Khaimah in May, where he and his delegation explored local businesses and visited Sheikh Saud’s farm on Jebel Jais.
This event highlights Ras Al Khaimah’s strengthening relationship with China, emphasizing the emirate’s cultural diplomacy and the deepening economic partnership between the two nations.
