Sheikh Nahayan bin Mabarak Al Nahyan Honors Winner of Longines Grand Prix at 12th FBMA International Show Jumping Cup

His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan bin Mabarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, presented the prestigious Longines Grand Prix title to Italy’s Luca Coata during the 12th FBMA International Show Jumping Cup. The event, held at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, featured exceptional performances by world-class equestrians, underscoring the UAE's commitment to advancing equestrian sports.

Distinguished Attendance
The award ceremony was graced by Sheikha Roudha bint Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Excellency Major General Dr. Ahmed Naser Al Raisi, President of the UAE Equestrian & Racing Federation and President of Interpol, along with other prominent figures such as H.E. Dr. Ahmed Al Qubaisi, Assistant General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, H.E. Talal Al Hashemi, Board Member of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, and H.E. Suhail Al Araifi, Executive Director of the Sports Sector at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council. Their presence emphasized the event’s significance in fostering sportsmanship and community engagement.

A Celebrated Event Under Esteemed Patronage
The competition, held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, attracted over 300 participants from 42 countries competing for a prize pool of AED 800,000. Guided by Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, the event continues to celebrate excellence in equestrian sports.

Grand Prix Glory
Italy's Luca Coata triumphed in the CSI2* Longines Grand Prix, completing the decisive jump-off in an impressive 41.08 seconds with Cassirana Del Rilate. He edged out Saudi Arabia’s Ramzy Al Duhami and Belgium’s Constant Rene J. Van Paesschen, who claimed second and third places respectively.

Reflecting on his victory, Coata said, “I’m thrilled with this win! My horse was in excellent shape, and the competition was fantastic. A big thank you to the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation for organizing such a wonderful event.”

Other Highlights
The day also saw UAE’s Mohammed Osama Al Zabibi secure victory in the CSI2* Two Phase (130cm), and Saleh Mufrej Ali Mohamed Alkarbi top the CSI2* Two Phases (120cm). Al Zabibi expressed his gratitude, saying, “Winning three consecutive days feels amazing. Horse riding is a family passion, and I’m deeply grateful for this journey.”

Upcoming Events
The four-day event culminates on Sunday with the FBMA National Show categories, further showcasing the UAE’s dedication to equestrian excellence.
