Sheikh Hamdan Renames Nursing and Midwifery College at MBRU in Honor of Sheikha Hind

Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has announced the renaming of the College of Nursing and Midwifery at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) in honor of his mother, Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum.

Taking to social media, Sheikh Hamdan, who is also Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, shared that the renamed Hind bint Maktoum College of Nursing and Midwifery will serve as a "beacon of excellence and innovation." He expressed confidence that the institution will graduate highly qualified national professionals to support the UAE's mission of delivering world-class healthcare and treatment services.

The announcement follows Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, recently celebrating his accession day by honoring Sheikha Hind for her contributions. Notably, the women of Dubai Police marked the occasion with a military parade expressing their gratitude to Sheikha Hind.

Sheikha Hind has been actively involved in initiatives to promote family stability and enhance quality of life in the UAE. A recently launched program under her guidance focuses on work-life balance by offering financial, social, and educational support to families across the emirates.

The newly renamed college reflects the UAE leadership's commitment to excellence in healthcare education and their recognition of Sheikha Hind's impact on the community.
