RTA rolls out 64 ideas to promote reading culture

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has held a brainstorming session to disseminate the culture of reading and motivate individuals to learn more. The occasion concurs with the UAE initiative designating 2016 as a year of reading, and the Dubai Government's drive to distribute the culture of reading throughout government bodies in the Emirate.

Ratings of Specialists and Promising Experts attended the conceptualizing session entitled "Creative Ideas for the Year of Reading," from RTA's nationl staff. The session generated 64 creative concepts in support of RTA's method to enrich the culture of reading, which in turn will improve the knowledge and innovation.

"RTA's Development and Corporate Performance Dep't has held this workshop that led to establishing 64 imaginative concepts for motivating individuals to check out in a bid to exemplify RTA's efforts in making 2016 a year of reading. This array of imaginative concepts would prompt workers to broaden their knowledge base and help them form a better future, besides turning the idea of the Learning Organization into a truth," stated Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Director of Development and Corporate Performance, RTA's Strategy and Corporate Governance Sector.

"Reading results in broadening the understanding base, and accordingly develops the capability to innovate. It opens the method for a raft of imaginative ideas, and sharpens the intellectual abilities to unleash more creative ideas for the advantage of the neighborhood development.

Al Suwaidi was delighted with the devotion of workers during the workshop in presenting innovative ideas, and their keenness to take advantage of the reading drive. He stressed RTA's dedication to support knowledge through inspirational internal initiatives bearing rewards in line with its unrelenting efforts to expand cultural orientation, and boost the knowledge & excellence drive.
