Saudi Arabia is set to host the Development Finance Conference “Momentum 2025” from 9 to 11 December at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh. The event is being held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Development Fund (NDF).
H.E. Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Development Fund, expressed his gratitude for the Crown Prince’s patronage, noting that the conference reflects the Kingdom’s ongoing national transformation. He emphasized that Momentum 2025 serves as a strategic platform that brings together local and international partners to strengthen the development finance ecosystem.
Al-Tuwaijri highlighted that the conference represents “a new pathway for comprehensive and sustainable development,” aimed at maximizing developmental impact across society and the environment. He noted that the event underscores Saudi Arabia’s growing role on the global stage as a destination for development transformation and innovation.
Momentum 2025 seeks to advance the strategic direction of the NDF and its affiliated development funds and banks. The conference will focus on enriching the development sector, boosting operational efficiency, and aligning national priorities to ensure long-term societal and economic growth. It also reinforces the Kingdom’s commitment to sustainable development in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
A central theme of the conference is the critical role of the private sector and small and medium-sized enterprises, which are considered key drivers of economic diversification, job creation, and competitiveness.
The three-day event will bring together members of the royal family, senior government officials, CEOs, economists, and global development leaders. More than 100 speakers from over 120 local and international entities are expected to participate, underscoring the conference’s importance as a national platform for development dialogue.
The organization of Momentum 2025 reflects the NDF’s role as a major enabler of national development through its 12 affiliated development funds and banks. The conference will also support greater coordination between development finance institutions and foster partnerships between the public and private sectors to ensure optimal resource utilization in support of Vision 2030’s objectives.
