Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub inaugurates Tim Aerospace’s new MRO facility in Dubai
The Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) at Dubai South has officially inaugurated Tim Aerospace’s new state-of-the-art maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) hangar, one of the largest independent facilities of its kind in the Middle East.
Built to maximum permitted design dimensions, the hangar can accommodate up to 12 narrow-body aircraft or five wide-body aircraft—excluding the A380—marking a major boost to the aviation maintenance ecosystem in the region.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by HE Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South; Tahnoon Saif, CEO of MBRAH; and Timor Shah Shahab, Founder of Tim Aerospace. Senior industry leaders and representatives from global airlines also took part, signalling strong sector support for the milestone development.
The new facility is expected to enhance Tim Aerospace’s global footprint by delivering premium, cost-efficient base maintenance services for a wide range of commercial passenger and cargo aircraft. Its capabilities are designed to meet rising demand from operators seeking reliable and high-quality MRO solutions.
Tahnoon Saif, CEO of MBRAH, said the inauguration reinforces Dubai’s position as a leading global aviation hub.
“The opening of Tim Aerospace’s facility strengthens Dubai’s appeal as a preferred destination for top-tier aerospace companies. At MBRAH, we aim to build an integrated ecosystem that drives innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth across the aviation value chain,” he stated.
Timor Shah Shahab, Founder of Tim Aerospace, emphasized the importance of the expansion.
“This milestone marks a new chapter in our journey to grow our service capabilities across the Middle East. Our new facility at Dubai South sets new benchmarks in efficiency, safety, and reliability, meeting growing demand for world-class MRO services,” he said.
MBRAH continues to offer global aerospace players strategic connectivity and a comprehensive free-zone environment that hosts leading airlines, private jet operators, MRO providers, and aviation-related industries. As part of Dubai South, it also accommodates maintenance centres, training facilities, and educational institutions, further supporting Dubai’s vision of becoming a world-leading aviation hub.
