Real estate developer MERED brought together leading brokers and Emirati artist Faris Al-Hammadi for a unique live art performance at the ICONIC Residences Design by Pininfarina, transforming an active construction site into a creative space where art and architecture intersected.

The invitation-only event took place داخل the tower, offering attendees sweeping views of some of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks, including Palm Jumeirah, Ain Dubai at Bluewaters, Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, and Marsa Al Arab. These panoramic views served as the inspiration for the artistic experience.

Art Meets Architecture

Led by Al-Hammadi, an ambassador of the Yas Association for Culture, Art and Theatre, participants engaged in live drawing and oil portraiture, guided by techniques he refined internationally. Known for blending heritage with contemporary expression, the artist has previously collaborated with major UAE institutions, including the Crown Prince’s Court and the Central Bank.

“Art and architecture share a common purpose—they invite us to look beyond the surface,” said Al-Hammadi, highlighting how the surrounding skyline reflects human creativity and ambition.

Under his supervision, brokers created their own artworks inspired by the Dubai skyline and seascape, while also contributing personal messages for future residents—adding a community-driven element to the experience.

A New Way to Experience Real Estate

According to Michael Belton, the initiative was designed to go beyond a traditional property showcase.

“Great design is rooted in art,” he said. “We wanted visitors to feel connected to the space, not just understand it.”

The project, developed in collaboration with Pininfarina, reflects a growing trend in Dubai’s luxury real estate sector—where immersive experiences are used to engage potential buyers.

Project Highlights and Progress

The ICONIC Residences development will feature 310 premium apartments, including a signature two-level penthouse. Buyers will have the option of fully furnished units with interiors designed by Pininfarina, ensuring a cohesive design experience.

As of March 2026:

1. The tower has reached approximately 130 metres in height
2. Construction has progressed to Level 26
3. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works are advancing steadily
4. Interior materials have been scheduled ahead of the next fit-out phase
