MBRF Showcases Knowledge Initiatives and Digital Achievements at GITEX Global 2025
The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) is showcasing its latest innovations and flagship initiatives at GITEX Global 2025, the world’s largest technology event, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 13 to 17, 2025.
Participating under the Digital Dubai pavilion, MBRF is highlighting key achievements and cutting-edge knowledge projects that align with the UAE’s leadership vision to advance digital transformation and build a knowledge-driven economy.
This year, the Foundation’s focus is on the Knowledge Project, a strategic collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) aimed at developing knowledge-based societies and promoting sustainable development across the Arab region and beyond.
MBRF is also spotlighting the Digital Knowledge Hub (DKH), an open-access platform offering over 15 million digital resources and more than one million titles in multiple languages, reinforcing the Foundation’s mission to make knowledge globally accessible.
His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, said:
“We are committed to annually participating in this premier global event, due to its significance both regionally and internationally in technology and innovation. GITEX provides a unique opportunity to share our latest digital knowledge initiatives while strengthening partnerships with leading entities in the fields of knowledge and advanced technology. This year, we are proud to present the latest developments in the Knowledge Project and the DKH, both of which harness technology to disseminate knowledge and support sustainable social and economic growth.”
During the event, MBRF is also presenting progress on several flagship programs, including the Global Knowledge Index (GKI)—a benchmarking tool that evaluates knowledge performance across nations—and the Future Skills Academy, which empowers youth and professionals with critical skills for the future.
The Foundation’s KnowTalks platform is another highlight, addressing pressing global challenges related to knowledge dissemination, innovation, and development, while sharing impactful results from previous editions.
A key feature of MBRF’s showcase is the Digital Knowledge Hub, a national platform that integrates over 20 specialized libraries and collaborates with 32 global partners. With 95 percent of its resources freely available, DKH serves millions of users across 172 countries, providing access to Arabic and international content across research, education, and development sectors.
By building smart digital environments for libraries and institutions, the DKH contributes significantly to the UAE’s digital transformation agenda and strengthens its position as a regional leader in knowledge innovation.
