Marine Sports Federation and Rebound Ltd. Unite to Promote Sustainability in Water Sports

In celebration of World Environment Day, the Marine Sports Federation has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Rebound Ltd., a leading entity in sustainable recycled materials management. This collaboration represents a significant advancement in integrating sustainability within marine sports and sets a new benchmark for environmental responsibility in the industry.

Both organizations are dedicated to implementing a series of sustainable initiatives aimed at enhancing environmental practices in aquatic sports. These initiatives are designed to reduce the ecological footprint of marine sports and promote long-term sustainability in the region. A key highlight of this partnership is the introduction of the Marine Sports Sustainability Awards, slated to begin in 2025. Initially involving seven marine sports clubs from the UAE, the initiative is expected to expand to other GCC countries, reinforcing regional commitment to environmental stewardship.

Ahmed Al Sheryani, Secretary General of the UAE Marine Sports Federation, expressed his enthusiasm: "Minimizing the environmental impact of marine sports and adopting sustainable practices supports our strategic plans and objectives to develop this sport and take it to the global stage." He added, "This partnership aligns with the UAE's sustainability efforts through pioneering initiatives and projects that reflect the country's strong environmental values."

Maryam Al Mansoori, Founder and General Manager of Rebound Ltd., shared her excitement: "By signing this partnership, we are committing to a series of impactful initiatives that underscore our dedication to the environment. The Marine Sports Sustainability Awards are just the beginning."

The collaboration will initially focus on local events in the UAE, integrating sustainable practices across all aspects of marine sports. Both parties are excited to announce upcoming projects that align with these goals. The first of these projects is the regional Marine Sports Sustainability Awards in 2025, involving seven marine sports clubs from the UAE.
