Kawar Energy and Huawei Partner to Boost Jordan's Electric Vehicle Industry
Kawar Energy and Huawei have announced a strategic partnership aimed at bolstering Jordan’s rapidly growing Electric Vehicle (EV) industry. Over the next two years, the collaboration will see Huawei’s advanced superchargers installed at Manaseer gas stations across the Kingdom, significantly expanding the accessibility of EV charging stations for car owners.
With Jordan emerging as one of the largest EV markets in the region, this partnership is set to meet the increasing demand by introducing cutting-edge EV charging solutions. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Mr. Zhang Shizhe, General Manager of Huawei Jordan, and Eng. Firas Alkhatib, CEO of Kawar Energy, also outlines future plans for expanding Huawei’s technology across various sectors in Jordan, including both public and private sectors.
Eng. Firas Alkhatib expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, “This partnership aligns with our vision of fostering innovation and sustainability in Jordan’s energy sector. With Huawei’s advanced ICT and digital power solutions, we are confident in our ability to meet the country’s evolving energy needs efficiently and sustainably.”
Mr. Zhang Shizhe emphasized Huawei’s commitment to innovation, noting, “Our partnership with Kawar Energy not only strengthens our collaboration but also sets a new standard for EV infrastructure in Jordan. With Huawei’s industry-leading supercharging technologies, we aim to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles across the Kingdom.”
Huawei’s superchargers, powered by its Digital Power unit, will feature state-of-the-art technologies like Liquid Cooled technology and a smart Power Sharing Matrix, capable of charging a one-kilometer range in just one second. These technologies will be deployed at Al Manaseer gas stations, marking a significant milestone in Jordan's transition to a more sustainable and technologically advanced infrastructure.
