From the founders’ beginnings to a vision that endures: HSA Group featured at the “Aden–Marseille” exhibition
HSA Group is being celebrated on an international stage as the story of its founders takes center place at the “Aden–Marseille. From One Port to Another” exhibition, currently on display at La Vieille Charité in Marseille. The exhibition, running from 21 November 2025 to 29 March 2026, is organized by the Museums of Marseille in close scientific partnership with the Louvre Museum.
To commemorate this milestone, Mr. Abdul Gabbar Hayel Saeed, Chairman of the Owners’ Representatives Board, and Mr. Dirhem Abdo Saeed, Chairman of HSA Group, attended the opening ceremony in Marseille.
Founded in 1938, HSA Group began as a small shop in Aden and has since evolved into one of the region’s most influential international enterprises. Its founders — Mr. Hayel Saeed and his brothers — established vital commercial bridges between Aden and Marseille, laying the groundwork for a legacy defined by vision, resilience and deeply rooted values. These guiding principles continue to shape the Group’s operations across global markets today.
Expressing his pride, Mr. Dirhem Abdo Saeed described the exhibition as a special acknowledgment of the Group’s journey and the enduring values set by its founders. He noted that the recognition reflects not only the Group’s early beginnings but also the integrity, responsibility and ethical commitment that continue to drive HSA Group’s progress.
He further highlighted that the exhibition forms part of a wider cultural collaboration involving major European institutions such as the Louvre Museum, the British Museum and the Museum of Art History in Vienna. This partnership brings depth to the exhibition and offers visitors a rich historical and artistic perspective on the region’s heritage.
Mr. Dirhem added that HSA Group’s engagement in international cultural initiatives reflects its pride in a legacy that began in Aden and expanded across continents, while staying firmly rooted in humanitarian values and professional excellence.
He concluded by expressing hope that the exhibition will not only honor the Group’s past, but also inspire future generations to build with purpose, integrity and a global outlook — the same values that shaped HSA Group from the beginning.
