Dubai's Shindagha Corridor Welcomes New Bridge to Boost Traffic Flow

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the opening of a new bridge as part of the Al Shindagha Corridor Improvement Project, specifically Phase 4 of the massive infrastructure initiative.

Spanning 1.35 kilometers with three lanes, the bridge is strategically designed to enhance connectivity and ease traffic congestion in one of Dubai's busiest areas. It links Sheikh Rashid Road, at its intersection with Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street, to Al Saqr intersection on Khaled bin Al Waleed Street. This key addition to Dubai’s infrastructure supports prominent locations, including the Al Shindagha Historical Area, the Infinity Bridge, and Deira, a major commercial and residential hub.

The bridge is built to handle a traffic capacity of 4,800 vehicles per hour, aiming to reduce congestion and ensure smoother traffic flow. The Al Shindagha Corridor Improvement Project is part of Dubai’s broader efforts to modernize its transportation network and accommodate the city’s rapid growth.

The corridor, stretching 13 kilometers, connects major roads and urban areas, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global hub for business and tourism. The project reflects the city's commitment to developing world-class infrastructure while preserving its historical landmarks.

By improving access to key areas and reducing travel time, the bridge aligns with Dubai's strategic vision to ensure efficient and sustainable transportation for residents and visitors alike.
