Dubai South signs MoU with Emirati Human Resources Development Council to enhance Emiratisation across strategic sectors

Dubai South, the region’s largest single-urban master development, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Emirati Human Resources Development Council (EHRDC) in Dubai to empower national talent and strengthen their participation in the emirate’s job market. The agreement focuses on preparing and qualifying Emiratis to lead high-growth sectors such as aviation, logistics, and urban development—key pillars of Dubai’s economy.

The MoU was signed in the presence of H.E. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of the EHRDC, and H.E. Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South. The signing took place at Dubai South’s stand during the Dubai Airshow and was attended by senior officials and experts from both organisations, highlighting the partnership as a strong model of public–private collaboration in line with Dubai’s talent development vision.

The agreement was formalised by Hafsa Algargawi, Chief People Management Officer at Dubai South, and Abdulaziz Alfalahi, General Supervisor of Employment Operations at the EHRDC.

Algargawi emphasized the organisation’s commitment to equipping young Emiratis with future-focused skills in aviation, supply chain management, safety and quality, and digital transformation. She noted that the partnership supports a seamless transition from training to impactful professional roles while reinforcing efforts to advance Emiratisation within the aviation sector. She added that these initiatives extend to Dubai’s broader economic ecosystem, aligning with national development goals.

Alfalahi highlighted that the partnership with Dubai South represents a significant stride toward building a strong pipeline of qualified Emirati professionals ready to lead the aviation and logistics sectors—two major contributors to Dubai’s sustainable growth. He stressed that the collaboration aims to provide integrated learning and career ecosystems that empower Emirati youth with the skills required to excel in strategic industries, supporting the UAE’s vision for a diversified and resilient economy.

Under the MoU, the two entities will jointly develop specialised training and qualification programmes, create career pathways aligned with global market needs, and design initiatives that facilitate knowledge exchange based on international standards. These efforts will strengthen the role of Emirati talent within high-impact sectors and enhance overall competitiveness.

The partnership underscores both Dubai South’s and the EHRDC’s commitment to creating opportunities for Emirati youth, fostering innovation, and supporting long-term career development. It also reinforces Dubai South’s mission as a catalyst for growth in aviation, logistics, and urban development, further cementing Dubai’s position as a global hub for investment and progress.
