Dubai Municipality Reserves Public Beaches for Families During Eid Al Adha Holiday

In an effort to enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors, Dubai Municipality has announced that all public beaches will be exclusively reserved for families during the Eid Al Adha holiday. This initiative aligns with the Municipality’s commitment to boosting the Emirate’s appeal through improved entertainment and tourism amenities.

The decision covers eight public beaches supervised by Dubai Municipality: Khor Al-Mamzar Beach, Cornish Al-Mamzar, Jumeirah 1, Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3, Umm Suqeim 1, Umm Suqeim 2, and Jebel Ali Beach.

Eng. Ibrahim Mohammad Juma, Director of the Public Beaches and Water Canals Department at Dubai Municipality, emphasized that the circular aims to manage the high influx of visitors to Dubai's beaches during Eid Al Adha. “This initiative provides family members with a unique opportunity to enjoy Dubai’s top tourist destinations during the Eid holiday,” Juma stated.

To ensure the safety and security of beachgoers, Dubai Municipality has deployed a 140-member safety and rescue team equipped with advanced logistics equipment. Additionally, a 65-member field control team will oversee beach operations during the Eid holidays, ensuring high standards of comfort and well-being for families.

Juma added, “Dubai Municipality, in collaboration with its strategic partners, will closely monitor all beach operations during the Eid Al Adha holiday. Our integrated efforts aim to provide a superior recreational experience for both residents and tourists.”

The Municipality's management of water channels and public beaches focuses on infrastructure development and offering advanced services and integrated facilities. These efforts are designed to enhance the recreational experience, well-being, and happiness of visitors.

Notably, Dubai's public beaches have received the international Blue Flag Certification, which signifies adherence to the highest standards in marine water quality, environmental education, management, public safety, and services.
