Battersea Power Station to Showcase at Arabian Travel Market 2025 in Dubai
Battersea Power Station, Central London’s iconic riverside destination, is set to take centre stage at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, which will be held from April 28 to May 1 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The landmark development will present its growing appeal to Middle Eastern tourists and highlight future plans as it continues to evolve as a leading mixed-use neighbourhood.
Since opening to the public in 2022, the revitalised Grade II* listed former coal-fired power station has welcomed over 30 million visitors. With a third of its Q4 2024 footfall comprising international tourists, the development has rapidly become a standout location in London’s tourism landscape.
Situated along a 450-metre stretch of the River Thames, Battersea Power Station spans 42 acres and features more than 150 British and international brands, such as Apple, Starbucks, Nike, M&S, Jo Malone, and the UK’s first tashas restaurant. The neighbourhood also includes over 2,200 residential units and 800,000 square feet of office space.
Key attractions include Lift 109—a unique chimney lift offering panoramic views of London—Rocket Padel's indoor padel courts, and The Cinema in the Power Station, which provides a premium cinematic experience. New to 2025 is NEON at Battersea Power Station, an immersive exhibition venue launching this spring. The venue will showcase award-winning global experiences such as Machu Picchu: The Golden Empires of Peru and Jurassic World: The Exhibition.
In addition to its attractions, the destination hosts year-round events including the Light Festival, a summer cultural programme, celebrASIA (the UK’s largest celebration of South East Asian culture), and festive events like Glide, London’s only riverside ice rink.
Adding to its appeal is the art’otel London Battersea Power Station, which features 164 rooms and a rooftop infinity pool offering sweeping views of the Power Station.
Battersea Power Station is backed by a consortium of Malaysian investors and is one of the most significant private investments in Central London this decade. It has already created over 6,600 jobs, with more than 20,000 expected once the entire masterplan is completed. Tech giant Apple occupies 500,000 square feet within the Power Station, while other tenants include SharkNinja and architecture firm Foster + Partners.
Transport connectivity is another major highlight. The development delivered the Northern Line Extension, bringing the new Zone 1 Battersea Power Station Underground station just 15 minutes from the West End and the City.
Currently, over 3,000 people reside within the neighbourhood, with limited new apartments still available. Among these are the final three Sky Villas within the Power Station and a select number of units in Koa at Electric Boulevard. These high-end apartments have gained strong interest from Middle Eastern buyers, thanks to their riverside location, access to green spaces, and seamless transport links.
Kate Boothman-Meier, Head of Communications and Marketing at Battersea Power Station Development Company, commented:
“We are thrilled to participate in the Arabian Travel Market 2025 and connect with potential partners and investors from across the MENA region. Since our opening in 2022, Battersea Power Station has rapidly become a leading destination in London, with an ever-growing number of Middle Eastern visitors drawn to the unique blend of retail, culture, and leisure opportunities we have to offer. With the 42-acre regeneration project only halfway through its development, we also look forward to showcasing what is to come in the future.”
