Bahrain Tourism Authority Launches GCC Tourism Campaign to Boost Regional Travel

The Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has launched a new tourism campaign aimed at strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a preferred travel destination for GCC visitors by promoting a wide range of entertainment, cultural, sports, and family-focused experiences.

The campaign highlights Bahrain’s upcoming calendar of events and attractions, positioning the Kingdom as an ideal destination for weekend getaways and short holidays for regional travellers.

The tourism initiative coincides with a diverse programme of events taking place across Bahrain, including live concerts and theatrical performances organised in collaboration with Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre.

The campaign also promotes major entertainment and cultural activities such as the third edition of the Bahrain Summer Festival at Exhibition World Bahrain, alongside family attractions, sporting events, shopping festivals, and entertainment activities across malls and tourist destinations throughout the Kingdom.

Sara Ahmed Buhiji, Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority, said the campaign reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen Bahrain’s appeal as a preferred destination for GCC families and regional visitors.

She noted that Bahrain offers a comprehensive tourism experience that combines entertainment, culture, sports, shopping, dining, and family activities within a destination that is easily accessible for Gulf travellers.

Buhiji added that the campaign’s event programme has been designed to cater to visitors of different age groups and interests while showcasing Bahrain’s well-known Gulf hospitality.

She also highlighted Bahrain’s advanced tourism infrastructure, which provides visitors with a seamless and comfortable travel experience.

As part of the campaign, BTEA is collaborating with hospitality and tourism partners to offer travel packages, hotel promotions, shopping offers, and entertainment experiences aimed at enhancing the overall visitor experience.

The initiative is designed to attract GCC travellers seeking nearby destinations that combine familiarity with new and memorable experiences.
