Azizi Developments signs MoU with Dubai Land Department to support first academic real estate diploma

Azizi Developments has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Dubai Land Department (DLD) to support the launch and implementation of Dubai’s first academic Real Estate Diploma, a new initiative aimed at strengthening professional education and Emirati talent development in the sector.

The MoU was signed on January 19 at Emirates Towers by Farhad Azizi, Group CEO of Azizi Group, and Eng. Abdulla Ahmed Al Shehhi, CEO of the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA) at Dubai Land Department.

Under the agreement, Azizi Developments will play a central role in enhancing the practical and professional components of the diploma programme, which has been developed by DLD in collaboration with the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) and strategic real estate partners. The programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industry requirements.

As part of the partnership, Azizi will offer structured on-the-job training opportunities across its projects and operations. Emirati students enrolled in the diploma will gain hands-on exposure to key areas of the real estate value chain, including development, sales, customer engagement, property management, and market operations. Azizi will also contribute industry insights to support curriculum alignment with evolving market needs, ensuring graduates are equipped with relevant, job-ready skills.

The initiative supports Dubai’s wider goals of building a skilled national workforce, enhancing employability, and advancing sustainable Emiratization within the real estate sector.

Commenting on the partnership, Farhad Azizi said the agreement reflects the company’s commitment to investing in people alongside physical developments. He noted that as Dubai’s real estate sector continues to grow rapidly, preparing young Emirati talent with practical experience and market exposure is essential to sustaining long-term growth. He added that the collaboration with Dubai Land Department and HCT will help shape the next generation of real estate professionals who will contribute to the future of the industry.

The MoU establishes a structured framework for cooperation between Azizi Developments and Dubai Land Department, covering practical training placements, professional mentorship, curriculum support, student evaluation, and long-term talent development. The agreement will remain valid for one year from the date of signing and will be automatically renewed unless terminated by either party with prior notice.
