Ajman Tourism Targets CIS Markets to Boost Tourist Inflow

The Ajman Tourism Development Department has embarked on a promotional tour to CIS markets, led by His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Department. Running from September 14 to September 21, the tour is aimed at strengthening ties with tourism representatives from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan, with the goal of attracting more visitors to Ajman.

The promotional efforts will span key cities including Almaty, Tashkent, and Baku, where Ajman’s latest tourist destinations and development projects are being showcased. This initiative comes as Ajman reports a 12% increase in tourists from CIS countries, alongside a 12% rise in nightly accommodations and a 3% improvement in hotel occupancy rates. Room revenues have also increased by 5% compared to last year.

His Excellency Alhashmi emphasized that the tour is designed to enhance Ajman’s reputation as a global tourist destination and build strategic partnerships that will foster sustainable economic growth for the emirate.

The Department's aim is to raise international awareness of Ajman’s unique cultural offerings, while expanding tourism opportunities from CIS countries to bolster the local economy and create new employment opportunities.
