Abu Dhabi to host second Social Care Forum on 24–25 September 2025

The Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with Deloitte Middle East, has announced the launch of the second edition of the Social Care Forum 2025. Scheduled to take place on 24–25 September at Hilton Abu Dhabi – Yas Island, the forum will be held under the theme “Future Ready Social Care: People, Practice, and Policy.”

Building on the success of its inaugural edition in 2024, the forum will convene ministers, policymakers, global and regional experts, researchers, academics, and social care professionals. Designed as a strategic platform for knowledge exchange and dialogue, the event will address global trends and emerging challenges in social care, focusing on empowering individuals, advancing professional practice, and reshaping policies to meet future needs.

The two-day programme will feature high-level panel discussions, interactive workshops, and specialised training sessions. Topics include proactive support programmes across life stages, workforce wellbeing, child protection, early risk detection, trauma-informed case management, and the role of AI and analytics in social care. Sessions will also explore innovative care models for children, youth, and older adults, with insights from leading experts such as Dr Hilary Cottam, Dr Victor Pineda, and Colin Milner.

Alongside the main programme, a dedicated exhibition will showcase smart solutions and tools from government, private, and third-sector organisations. The initiative aims to foster impactful partnerships, support vulnerable groups, and promote the adoption of digital innovation across the sector.

Mubarak Al Ameri, Executive Director of the Social Licensing and Control Sector at the Department of Community Development, said the 2025 edition places strong emphasis on equipping professionals with the skills to adapt to future changes: “This forum provides an opportunity to align global best practices with Abu Dhabi’s context, ensuring practical and tangible benefits for individuals and families.”

With its focus on reformulating community policies, strengthening workforce competence, and promoting innovation, the Social Care Forum 2025 reaffirms Abu Dhabi’s position as a regional and global leader in advancing social care systems.
