Women's Beach, Cycling Track, and More: A Look at Dubai's Al Mamzar Corniche Beach Development

Dubai's Al Mamzar Corniche Beach is set to redefine public recreational spaces with its innovative features and modern amenities. Spanning an impressive 125,000 square meters with a width of 80 meters, this ambitious project promises a unique blend of leisure, sports, and family-friendly activities. The Al Mamzar Beach Development Project, valued at approximately AED 400 million, is slated for completion by the end of 2025.

Key Features of Al Mamzar Corniche Beach

The development will include:

  • Dedicated Women's Beach: A private area for women, complete with night swimming facilities.
  • Sports and Recreation: A sports club, children’s play zones, and running, walking, and cycling tracks.
  • Event Spaces: A 5,000-square-meter area for seasonal events and a 2,000-square-meter skateboarding zone.
  • Smart Services: Advanced AI-powered surveillance, drowning rescue technologies, crowd management tools, and smart luggage lockers.

Innovative Design

One standout feature is the integration of running, walking, and cycling paths that seamlessly connect Al Mamzar Creek Beach and Al Mamzar Park. These pathways, surrounded by lush green landscapes, represent a first-of-its-kind design in the region.

Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, emphasized the project's alignment with Dubai’s strategic goals:
“This project reflects our commitment to creating innovative, sustainable infrastructure that aligns with Dubai's future ambitions, solidifying its leading position across various vital sectors and supporting the achievement of Dubai Economic Agenda D33 targets.”

Progress Update

Phase 1 of the project, initiated in June 2024, is nearing the halfway mark with 45% completion. Spanning 275,000 square meters, the first phase includes:

  • A 200-meter pedestrian pontoon bridge connecting the two creek banks for easy public access.
  • A 300-meter-long night swimming beach, designed to accommodate people of determination.
  • A 5-kilometer walkway alongside running and cycling tracks.

The second phase, which focuses on developing the Al Mamzar Corniche beachfront, has now been contracted and will add to the project's innovative offerings.

Sustainable and Community-Centric Development

With features like aesthetic landscaping, eco-friendly infrastructure, and advanced safety measures, the Al Mamzar Corniche Beach project represents Dubai’s vision of combining sustainability with community well-being.
