WETEX 2024 Highlights Dubai’s Competitive Business Environment for New Corporate Headquarters
The 26th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), taking place from 1-3 October 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, will shine a spotlight on Dubai's thriving business environment and its appeal for companies seeking to establish new headquarters or branches in the region. Amid a surge of inquiries from global businesses, WETEX will feature workshops and panel discussions to showcase the advantages of setting up operations in Dubai.
The event, organized by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, will focus on the city’s flexible regulatory and legislative frameworks, diverse investment opportunities, robust digital infrastructure, and commitment to safety and security. These factors are key to enhancing investor confidence and cementing Dubai’s reputation as a global investment hub.
“WETEX has become a pivotal platform for investors, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers to explore future projects, especially in renewable and clean energy sectors, green development, and sustainability,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, and Founder and Chairman of WETEX. “Over the years, WETEX has played a significant role in attracting international companies, who often express interest in establishing headquarters and branches in Dubai after discovering its competitive business environment.”
Dubai’s attractiveness is bolstered by its more than 40 multidisciplinary free zones, where expatriates and foreign investors can enjoy full ownership of companies. These zones are supported by efficient infrastructure and services designed to streamline business operations, offering significant time and cost savings.
