UAE to See Unstable Weather with Rain, Dust and Temperature Swings Through Midweek
The National Centre of Meteorology has forecast a new wave of unstable weather conditions across the country from April 18 to April 22, bringing a mix of rising temperatures, dust, and chances of rainfall.
The period will begin with fair to partly cloudy skies over the weekend, accompanied by a noticeable increase in temperatures and light to moderate winds.
Changing Conditions from Monday
By Monday night, cloud cover is expected to gradually build over coastal areas and islands, signalling a shift toward more unsettled weather conditions.
Rain and Dust Expected Midweek
From Tuesday into Wednesday, the weather is likely to turn partly cloudy to cloudy, with blowing dust and a chance of rainfall in several regions, particularly in western and eastern parts of the UAE.
Winds are expected to strengthen during this period, reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h, which may reduce visibility and create dusty conditions in open areas.
Temperature Drop and Rough Seas
The midweek shift will also bring a slight drop in temperatures following the earlier rise. Sea conditions are expected to become rough at times in the Arabian Gulf, while the Sea of Oman is likely to remain relatively calm.
Authorities have advised residents to stay updated with official forecasts and exercise caution during periods of reduced visibility and changing weather conditions.
The forecast reflects typical seasonal transitions in the UAE, where shifting wind patterns and atmospheric changes can lead to short periods of unstable weather during spring.
