UAE President meets Turkish Foreign Minister, for Eid Al-Fitr greetings
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, in Abu Dhabi, where both leaders exchanged Eid Al Fitr greetings and discussed regional security developments.
During the meeting, both sides conveyed their best wishes for prosperity, stability, and peace, extending hopes for continued progress in the UAE and Türkiye as well as across the wider region.
Exchange of leadership greetings
Hakan Fidan conveyed the greetings of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, along with his wishes for the UAE’s ongoing prosperity. Sheikh Mohamed reciprocated, asking that his greetings and wishes for continued development and success be passed on to the Turkish President.
Focus on regional security and stability
The discussions highlighted growing concerns over regional tensions, including recent developments affecting security and sovereignty.
Both sides also addressed the ongoing military escalation in the region, emphasising its serious implications for global and regional security. They underscored the importance of de-escalation, calling for dialogue and diplomacy as key tools to prevent further crises.

Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan,
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan,
Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan,

and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, along with other senior officials.

The meeting reflects the continued commitment of both nations to strengthen bilateral relations, while working together to address regional challenges and promote peace and stability through cooperation and dialogue.
