The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention, represented by the Institutional Development Department, recently arranged an Open Day for Innovation at its headquarters in the existence of senior officials from the Ministry, consisting of H.E. Dr. Hussain Al Rand, Assistant Undersecretary for Health Centers and Clinics, and also Dr. Ayesha Al Mutawa, Chief Innovation Officer, along with a variety of departmental directors. The initiative was held to ensure innovation culture and also it's consolidate its methods in the government's work environment via workshops as well as interactive innovative laboratories.

Dr. Al Mutawa pointed out that the objective of the event is to increase recognition about innovative tools & to supply a stimulating as well as encouraging environment for advancement so that it becomes a daily culture, and one of the most famous feature in the system of federal government's employment, to achieve the purposes of the UAE Vision 2021.

"Innovation is art as well as scientific research in addition to practice and also skill, which are enhanced by organized training of people on creativity procedure within a stimulating environment, with building a culture of advancement based upon collaborative and also active participation, along with tolerance for experimentation as part of the journey. Innovative thinking process is promoted by the fostering of an array of innovative tools and strategies such as factory ideas, games to enhance innovative thinking, brainstorming over charts, programmable solutions, a line of happiness, as well as online simulation scenarios," stated Dr. Al Mutawa.

During the MOHAP innovation open day a variety of workshops and innovation laboratories were launched & they resolved themes such as "future of prevention health, innovative customer service, excellence in mental health service and health service in remote areas.

Furthermore; throughout advancement open day; MOHAP launched innovation platform which represents an exhibition system designed through the letters of the word "innovative for health", and it held many tasks such as Photo Gallery, posters competition, and also puzzles to urge strategic foresight, solution oriented innovative thinking, and teamwork. The main themes for the activities addressed around the platform are Healthy lifestyles, hospitals of the future & future doctors.
