The Maritime Standard (TMS) Awards 2025, the region’s premier celebration of maritime excellence, has announced this year’s winners, recognising outstanding achievements across the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent. The prestigious ceremony, held on 29 October at Atlantis The Palm, Dubai, drew over 1,000 senior executives, decision-makers, and industry leaders from around the world.
Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, the event honoured 25 award categories spanning shipping, logistics, offshore services, ship repair, marine technology, and related sectors. Special awards were also presented to individuals demonstrating exceptional leadership and contribution to the maritime industry.
Celebrating Maritime Excellence and Innovation
The 2025 Awards reflected the industry’s forward momentum amid global shifts toward decarbonisation, digitalisation, and supply chain resilience. From clean-fuel initiatives to AI-driven port operations and international collaborations that enhance trade efficiency, the winning projects showcased the maritime sector’s pivotal role in sustainable global commerce.
The event was hosted by Yalda Hakim, the acclaimed international journalist and filmmaker, whose presence added prestige to the ceremony. The keynote address was delivered by Captain Abdulkareem Al Masabi, CEO of ADNOC Logistics and Services, who highlighted the UAE’s leadership in driving sustainable and innovative maritime practices.
Recognising Outstanding Achievement
Clive Woodbridge, Editor of The Maritime Standard and Chairman of the Judging Panel, noted:
“This year’s competition was exceptionally tough, with an unprecedented number of entries across all categories. The calibre of submissions reflects the tremendous progress being made across the regional maritime sector.”
The rigorous evaluation process was overseen by an independent judging panel comprising some of the industry’s most respected figures, ensuring transparency and integrity in the selection of winners.
Trevor Pereira, Managing Director of The Maritime Standard, added:
“These Awards are not just about celebrating success, but about encouraging excellence. As the region continues to expand its maritime infrastructure and digital port systems, the Awards reinforce its position as a global leader in shipping and logistics.”
Individual Honours and Industry Impact
Among the night’s highlights, Captain Mohamed Al Ali, Senior Vice President, Operations (Offshore Logistics) at ADNOC Logistics & Services, received the Outstanding Achievement Award, acknowledging his distinguished contribution to offshore logistics.
“It was one of the greatest honours of my professional career to receive this award. It truly means a lot to be recognised by TMS for years of dedication and hard work,” said Captain Al Ali.
