Takeda’s President of Growth and Emerging Markets strengthens strategic healthcare partnerships in Saudi Arabia
In a continued show of support for Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, Gamze Yüceland, President of Growth and Emerging Markets at Takeda, visited the Kingdom to strengthen partnerships with leading healthcare institutions and regulators. Her meetings focused on advancing medical innovation, expanding access to specialized care, and driving transformative research and education initiatives.
During her visit, Ms. Yüceland held discussions with leaders from the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSHRC), King Saud University Sleep Center, and King Saud University Medical City (KSUMC).
Accelerating Saudi Arabia’s healthcare transformation
“Takeda is proud to help advance high-quality, digital, and sustainable patient-centered care in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives,” said Gamze Yüceland.
“By building strategic collaborations, we aim to enrich medical education, foster research innovation, and boost awareness across key therapeutic areas such as oncology, hematology, gastroenterology, and neuroscience, ensuring world-class care for patients throughout the Kingdom.”
Khaled Sary, General Manager of Takeda’s West Gulf Cluster, emphasized the company’s long-term partnership with Saudi healthcare institutions, noting:

At the SFDA, discussions focused on advancing clinical trial enablement and strengthening regulatory frameworks, recognizing the Authority’s achievements in healthcare innovation.

At KFSHRC, the dialogue centered on expanding collaboration in oncology, hematology, and transplantation research, leveraging Takeda’s global expertise to support the hospital’s evolution into a regional center of excellence.

At the King Saud University Sleep Center, Ms. Yüceland commended the Kingdom’s growing leadership in sleep research and disorder management, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s potential as a regional hub for pioneering sleep therapies.

During her visit to KSUMC, she reaffirmed Takeda’s dedication to advancing gastroenterology research and clinical training, building upon two Memoranda of Understanding signed in 2022 and 2025 to strengthen academic and clinical collaboration.
