AKI Logistics, a company of Al Khayyat Investments (AKI), has entered into a three-year strategic partnership with NMC Group Services Ltd to provide a nationwide end-to-end warehousing and logistics solution supporting NMC Healthcare’s network of medical facilities across the UAE.

Under the agreement, AKI Logistics will manage the storage, distribution, and transportation of pharmaceuticals and medical consumables for NMC through a dedicated logistics facility located in Dubai Investments Park (DIP). The partnership will serve more than 80 NMC locations across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, and Al Ain.

The collaboration is designed to enhance the resilience, scalability, and efficiency of the UAE’s healthcare supply chain while ensuring uninterrupted access to essential medical products.

Stefan Sickel, Chief Supply Chain Officer at NMC, said the collaboration will improve operational efficiency across the healthcare provider’s nationwide network.

"Through this collaboration, NMC’s logistics operations will benefit from faster replenishment cycles, greater flexibility in delivery models, and improved stock availability, all of which will improve our ability to deliver seamless patient care."

The agreement builds on AKI Logistics' continued investment in expanding its logistics infrastructure. In 2025, the company launched its next-generation Fulfilment and Innovation Centre in Dubai, a one-million-square-foot facility that increased its fulfilment capacity to more than 1.5 million units per day. The facility also includes provisions for an additional 200,000 square feet of future expansion and currently supports over 30,000 business customers.

With more than four decades of operations in the UAE, AKI has established a strong presence across multiple industries, including pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, retail, food and consumer goods, automotive, environmental services, manufacturing, logistics, and contracting. The company was also among the early investors in Dubai Investments Park, where it continues to operate several logistics and industrial facilities.

The partnership with NMC Healthcare is expected to further strengthen the country's healthcare logistics ecosystem by improving inventory management, delivery flexibility, and supply chain reliability for medical facilities across the Emirates.
