Takeda Appoints Hernán Porcile as Head of EAMEA Region, Strengthening Leadership and Regional Growth from Dubai
Takeda, a global leader in research and development-driven biopharmaceutical innovation, has announced the appointment of Hernán Porcile as the new Area Head for the Eurasia, Middle East, and Africa (EAMEA) region. Effective July 1, 2025, Porcile will be based in Dubai, a strategic international hub, from where he will guide Takeda’s continued growth and transformation across this rapidly evolving and diverse regional market.
Previously the General Manager of Takeda Mexico, Porcile brings over two decades of global leadership experience, particularly in emerging markets. His appointment underscores Takeda’s strategic focus on sustainable, value-based healthcare delivery and innovation in a region that includes some of the world’s fastest-growing pharmaceutical markets.

A Legacy of Leadership and Transformation
Hernán Porcile joined Takeda in 2009 as Administration and Finance Director in Argentina and has since held a variety of senior roles across Latin America, including Head of Takeda Mexico and Colombia. He also oversaw operations in the Southern Cone, Andean Region, and Central America. During his tenure, he led several strategic initiatives, including the launch of three key therapies targeting multiple myeloma, hereditary angioedema, and inflammatory bowel disease.
Before joining Takeda, Porcile spent over 12 years at Schering-Plough and currently serves as Secretary of the Mexican Association of Pharmaceutical Research Industries (AMIIF), where he chairs the Clinical Research Commission.
He holds a degree in Public Accounting from the University of Morón and an MBA in Strategy from the University of Belgrano, both in Argentina.
With his deep market insight and a proven track record in commercial strategy, finance, and therapeutic development, Hernán Porcile is set to lead Takeda’s efforts to deliver better health and a brighter future to patients across the EAMEA region.
